Fourth Quarter 2009

Emerald Staffing is an employment agency in the hospitality & food industry, specializing in temporary and contract jobs. Opening in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in January 2010, this vibrant staffing agency takes a personal approach with every applicant to find the job perfectly suited to their needs. MDS worked very closely with the Emerald Staffing team to create a brand that spoke to the professionalism, dedication & knowledge values that the company stands for, and created a brand identity, a website, business cards, and a set of brochures for job applicants & employers alike.

Third Quarter 2009

Northern Stars Dance (NSD) is a competition for young performers to showcase their talent across a variety of dance styles and venues in southern Ontario. The NSD site already had a stylish design but the team didn't want to deal with HTML and CSS to update their site for the many upcoming dance competitions. After sitting down with the NSD team to fully understand their requirements, MDS customized & implemented a content management system (CMS) to enable quick and efficient updates via easy-to-use graphical web interfaces. The existing design was updated, then converted into a template and seamlessly integrated with the CMS.

Second Quarter 2009

John O'Hare and the crew at Bay Ridges Classic Chevy (BRCC), a classic Chevy car and truck restoration parts company, needed a set of business cards that immediately identified them with the classic era without making them look dated. MDS worked within a very tight timeframe to get these cards ready for an upcoming car show that BRCC was attending, managed the relationship with the print shop and delivered the finished set of cards on-time, and under budget.

First Quarter 2009

Hot off the heels of our latest project, we have updated our portfolio with some of our more recent work. The Ingram Cottages site serves as an informational and booking portal for a pair of cottages in Muskoka and PEI. The site features a custom-tailored CMS backend, which allows our clients to dynamically update the site regardless of where they are. Visitors are able to see in real-time the availability of the two cottages and submit reservation requests to be verified by the owners. This was a really fun project and we worked with some great clients -- looking forward to meeting up with them in the future.
